MoreNew development opportunities
The population of Northamptonshire, located centrally within the United Kingdom, is set to grow substantially in the next decade; the UK Government is investing in housing and infrastructure and opportunities for investment in a mix of property schemes and developments are now available.
Despite the recession Northamptonshire has had some notable achievements in 2009 – Brackley based team Brawn GP won the FIA Formula 1 World Championship; the county secured the largest new FDI investment in the UK in 2009 by Taiwanese electronics company Kenmark, creating 500 new jobs in Corby over the next three years; and Northamptonshire located Silverstone Circuit achieved a 17 year agreement to host the British F1 Grand Prix (as well as reaching agreement to host the motorcycle MotoGP Grand Prix for the next five years).
Sterling Prize winner Will Alsop is one of the most prominent UK and International architects, is an Ambassador for Northamptonshire and will join us for lunch on the 18th March at the La Mandala restaurant on the Boulevard de la Croisette. Will will speak on the importance of sustainable construction, on Northamptonshire – and of course on the absolute importance of great design.
We would be delighted if you were able to join us for lunch too.

The dynamics of a visitor destination - Hotel development opportunities
Northamptonshire is a developing UK business and tourist destination. Its rolling English countryside, pleasant villages and market towns enjoy easy links to leading road and rail routes along with access to five international airports, all within 1 hour journey time. All these benefits make Northamptonshire an enjoyable and easily accessible visitor destination just 1 hour traveling time from central London.
Northamptonshire is also at the forefront of the UK government supported growth agenda which will provide for £11 billion of public sector investment in transport and infrastructure in the county by 2021 along with 141,000 new jobs and 167,000 new homes by 2031.
To support increasing visitor attraction and strong population growth over the next 20 years Northamptonshire is planning significant new hotel provision across the county. At MIPIM we have six new, industry researched, hotel development opportunities to present.

MoreSustainable construction
Northamptonshire is at the forefront of new methods of sustainable construction and the development of new construction technologies. In 2010 Northamptonshire is investing £8m to develop the iHub building at Daventry, a national and international hub for research and for businesses at the cutting edge of the construction industry.
New development proposals in other prominent Northamptonshire locations - Corby, Kettering, Wellingborough, Towcester and in Northampton, support the use of new, more environmentally supportive construction techniques.

MoreMotorsport and High Performance Engineering
Building on a global reputation - Motorsport and high performance engineering opportunities
Northamptonshire is at the centre of a world-leading cluster of high performance engineering and motorsport industry activity. Companies such as Mercedes-Benz HighPerformanceEngines, Cosworth and Mugen all have strong representation in the county.
Northamptonshire is also a great place to go racing: Silverstone, Rockingham and Santa Pod draw significant numbers of visitors to the county and provide for a wide range of racing experiences.
In 2010 Northamptonshire is constructing a new strategy to support the industry and to further stimulate the growth of high performance engineering and motorsport in the county. Part of the strategy is to bring to the fore new development opportunities at Silverstone, Rockingham and adjacent to the Mercedes-Benz HighPerformanceEngines facility to the north of Northampton.
